Dr. Rachel Price is a licensed clinical psychologist who has expertise in evidence-based treatment for adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, and OCD. Dr. Price works with adults in both Alabama and Florida. She is passionate about delivering treatments informed by comprehensive diagnostic assessments and validated by research. Dr. Price utilizes a cognitive- behavioral approach, helping clients develop healthier thoughts and behaviors. With an emphasis on compassion and empathy, Dr. Price views the relationship between therapist and client as collaborative, trusting, and respectful. The ultimate goal of therapy is to help clients move toward independence, confident in their ability to apply the tools they have learned in therapy to cope with future distress.
Dr. Price earned her B.S. in Psychology from Birmingham-Southern University in 2007 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University in 2014. She completed her American Psychological Associated-accredited clinical psychology internship at the Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System in Montgomery and Tuskegee. While on internship, Dr. Price conducted psychological assessments and completed rotations in the PTSD treatment program (including PTSD telemental health), the sexual trauma treatment program, and the outpatient mental health treatment program. Dr. Price became licensed as a clinical psychologist in the state of Alabama in 2016. She is also registered as a telehealth provider for residents of Florida.
